COX’S ORANGE PIPPIN
This apple was first grown in 1830. It is an excellent eating apple. The flavour is excellent, and gets softer and sweeter with maturity. It is very juicy. It is also used for cooking, juice, hard cider and drying. It is a mid to late season apple, and keeps for 1 to 2 months. It probably does better in cooler areas.
