A quick growing summer and autumn flowering annual flower
for background planting, displays or in clumps of 4 or 5 plants
between shrubs and perenials.
Although easily grown, Cosmos are tender and susceptible to
cold and wet weather. They require a good rich soil and liberal
amounts of water in dry weather.
Seed may be sown in an outdoor seed bed or seed box and
when the seedlings produce their first true leaves they should
be transplanted to permanent position. Because they are quick
growing it is advisable to support each plant with a stake to
avoid wind damage.
