A small dry-fleshed variety with a comparatively soft skin, it is
ideal for small families. The fruits are produced on more or less
compact bushes rather than the free-running larger varieties.
Choose a site in an open sunny position and prepare for sowing
by digging-in a quantity of compost or old stable manure to form
a hill of soil at least 60cm across.
Allow 1m between hills and sow 4 seeds deep in the top of
each hill. Apply a side dressing of a general purpose fertilizer
after seedlings appear and make sure a regular water supply is
maintained throughout the growing period.
