19 Radford Place, Bairnsdale VIC 3875
A smallish sweet, dry yellow fleshed pumpkin that has been mostly grown in hotter areas, but newer varieties enable it to be grown in southern parts of Australia. Will keep 3 to 4 months if dry when harvested.
Choose a site in an open sunny position and prepare for sowing by digging in a quantity of compost or old stable manure to form a hill of soil.
Allow 1m between hills and sow 4 seeds 1.5cm deep in the top of each hill. Make sure a regular water supply is maintained throughout the growing period.
