This spicy annual is used in salads when the plants are young.
Older plants are cooked like silver beet. Rocket is best grown
in cooler climates.
Before planting the bed should be well prepared with a
complete fertilizer applied at 30 grams per square metre or
animal manure should be worked into the soil.
If used for salads, the plants can be broadcast or planted in
rows, cut when young for the best flavour. If leaving to grow
on, thin the plants to 15cm.
Plants when cut young will grow to provide a second crop.
