An early maturing bush variety with flattened ribbed fruits of excellent flavour, which must be protected from cold winds when planted out early.
Sow seed 5mm deep in a seed box and located in a warm situation. Prick off young seedlings into trays or punnets when the first set of true leaves appear.
Prepare garden bed by digging in compost or old stable manure and applying a light application of a complete fertiliser. Transplant seedlings to a sunny position when they are 10cm high, and space them 60cm between plants.
During the growing season plants should not be allowed to dry out too much between waterings.
