A tall heavy yield variety suitable for home garden cultivation in colder areas. It grows best in heavy but well-drained soils but if the soil is too rich the plants will produce a lot of leaf and very few pods. For this reason the bean crop should follow a leaf crop such as cabbage or lettuce.
While the crop is growing keep free of weeds and once it reaches 20cm high apply a complete fertilizer.
Gather pods as they become ready for use to prolong bearing period.
